Regional Sales Manager
PMP Corporation is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to act as a sales leader for the company. This individual will be responsible for driving profitable growth for PMP through an established network of distributors, managing key customer relationships, and representing PMP at industry trade shows. This is a key role which will have significant influence in the direction and success of the firm. The Regional Sales Manager will report to the National Sales Manager and be based in Avon, CT.
Position Responsibilities:
· Customer Relationships: PMP Corporation’s customers are distributors and service providers in the Petroleum Equipment and Convenience Store industries. PMP works directly with customers in some regions of the United States and with Independent Manufacturer Sales Representative groups in others. The initial focus of this position would be covering a region of the country where PMP works directly with customers.
- Plan and execute an effective schedule coordinating visits to potential and existing customer accounts in concert with the National Sales Manager. This position requires a good deal of travel in the assigned territory.
- Maintain relationships with existing customers to improve their knowledge of PMP Corporation’s products and improve PMP’s relationship with them.
- Identify target potential customers and current customers who do not purchase the full range of PMP products. Develop action plans to acquire new customers and expand our sales to existing customers.
- Vet requests from prospective customers to set up new accounts.
Tradeshows: Currently PMP shows at several trade shows in the region, requiring 15-20 days of travel annually just for these events.
- Represent PMP Corporation at scheduled tradeshows. Meet with current and prospective customers, educate people on PMP’s products and services.
- Help refine PMP’s tradeshow strategy including evaluating potential shows, recommending what shows to attend, and determining what size presence to have at shows.
- Arrange for PMP’s participation in tradeshows and conferences in the region. Schedule and arrange for booth, transportation, lodging etc.
· Other:
- The Regional Sales Manager may be asked to assist in various marketing and customer service related tasks on occasion. PMP is a lean operation where people are expected to pitch in where needed.
- Assist in the creation and placement of advertising.
- Work with the National Sales Manager to identify new potential markets for PMP remanufactured and manufactured products outside of the Petroleum Equipment Industry. Assist in identifying key potential customers. Assist in developing and executing action plans to penetrate target markets.

Position Requirements and Experience:
- High degree of integrity and independence.
- Possess excellent social and communication skills to be able to work with multiple different stakeholders and manage customer relationships.
- Experience in Business to Business sales, including sales management, preferred.
- Petroleum Equipment Industry experience preferred but not required, experience in manufacturing or remanufacturing preferred.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Engineering/technical degree and/or experience preferred.
- Possess a working knowledge of marketing principles.
- Possess proficiency in the Microsoft® Office suite.
